Rugged Coast Research Society Team

About RCRS

We are firm believers of giving back to the natural playgrounds that have given us so much over the years. Formed in 2017, RCRS is comprised of marine industry professionals, marine biologists and entrepreneurs working together to research the impacts of marine debris and restore the most remote areas of our coast. Partnering and sharing our data with stakeholders, we are committed to collaboratively working to better the marine environment we all depend on.

Current Projects

BC Coast Marine Debris Accumulation Assessment

Marine Debris Accumulation Assessment and Mapping

Accessing the most remote areas of BC’s Coastline, we are collecting accumulation data and sharing it with other groups to ensure future clean up efforts have the most impact possible.

Marine Debris Removal

Working with other non-government organizations and Indigenous groups, we are continually planning and executing clean up missions in these remote areas.
